Duomo di Firenze.
Florence is a city where time stands still. I experienced a sense of quaint grandeur as I stood atop the Giotto bell tower, facing the dome of the church, with the old streets of Florence laid out far below. The ‘WOW’ factor was accentuated by the fact that it was a gorgeous day.
Earlier in the day we had visited the Uffizi Gallery. The works at Uffizi were so captivating that by the time we came out it was LATE afternoon. By the time we reached the Piazza del Duomo, the ascent to the top of the Duomo was already closed. So we decided to climb the Giotto bell tower instead. Great decision! It led to this shot being possible!

Beautiful! I did the same climb and have the same photo. Much better for pics than climbing the Dome.
Thanks! Have you put that one up on your blog??
