Cooking for love is the best kinds…
A couple of days back I came across a blog via the zerotohero challenge. Steven Santos on Made by Steven: ~ Slow cooking from around the world, here in Japan reminded me just how much fun cooking really is. And the bonus was, he even has a section on Indian food…it’s nice to see all the traditional cooking that I adore from a non-Indian perspective. Loved his post on Murg Methi. I left a few lines on his ‘About’ page
“I love cooking too….a means to express my love for my family…especially my husband and my siblings….at times even a means to de-stress. Putting up a good dish makes me happy! But I am not too adventurous…I think your blog maybe an interesting way to broaden my culinary horizons…”
Apart from photography, cooking interests me quite a bit. However I confess my culinary adventures are extreme bursts of frenzied cooking followed by days of lounging around doing mundane stuff. I hope that Steve’s posts will inspire me to try out new things & on a more regular basis. As of now here’s to the Gajar ka Halwa (Carrot Halwa) that is my husband’s favourite.
P.S. Shot taken in my kitchen after cooking Carrot halwa to send to my Husband who is out on an assignment for a few months. Posted in response to the zerotohero Day 12. Link provided thanks to Recipe of the month by http://rajdhani.co.in for an easy recipe of this Indian delicacy for those interested…Bon apetit !
OMG, I made Carrot Halwa on Friday.
Great minds think alike. 🙂
And thank you very much for the kind words about my blog and post. I really appreciate it.
Way to go…waiting for the ‘Idli’ post!…
