“What are the things that hold you back from doing everything you’d like to do?” asks the Daily Post
Self doubt, the fear of unknown, a phobia, an unwillingness to take a chance or simply laziness...the reasons can be many. But all barriers can be overcome if one has a helping hand…not necessarily someone to lead the way as in the photograph above, maybe just someone to just talk to, someone who understands, who listens, who doesn’t preach but rather offers true heartfelt advice or words of encouragement. So instead of focusing on the barriers holding you back, you focus on finding ways to get over them.
P.S. This opportunity to do some photography on the go was accorded to me during a trip kayaking up the Storms river mouth at Tsitsikamma National Park, South Africa. After we got as far as the kayaks would go, our guide led us upstream to a beautiful deep pool fed by a tributary to the Storms river. Only hitch… we had to wade through some shallow water with slippery rocks and hidden potholes! This couple above had teamwork down pat as they led the way through the watery obstacle course.
