Weekly Photo Challenge: Selfie & Neighbors

 Weekly Photo Challenge asked us for a ‘Selfie’. Going by the book this may not be one (sorry to disappoint folks but this isn’t me). Then again Cheri did say “A selfie doesn’t have to be all about you; it can reveal much more, given the elements you choose to include.” (or exclude, as I interpreted…I left me out ! ) Also the Daily Post asked us  “Who are your Neighbors? ” Checkout mine…

A little friendly appreciation goes a long way…

My week has been rather trying. But after all the literal ‘frowny faces’ I had to put up with ( including my own in the mirror! ) I had some sunshine coming my way …as love, concern and advice. Also some of the photographs I shared on another social forum were, well…appreciated…here’s the ‘Rising Star‘ ( a flash in the pan, one time wondrous fluke, I admit… )

Here’s to putting all the morbid stuff aside, moving on and most importantly appreciating thy own self ( trust me…you deserve it! ) and also appreciating some encouraging neighbors!

P.S. This shot was taken at the neighborhood park. This fella was rooting around the camera bag lying in my lap for the remnants of the chocolate I had eaten earlier. I had a tough time not breathing, clicking silently and generally moving a step ahead in my photography ventures.
