The sight of these beautiful pink flamingos taking flight set my spirits soaring one morning… They seemed at the threshold of a great journey, a fabulous adventure! Every time I see this shot, my errant heart fancies getting a pair of wings myself and leaving the mundane hurly burly of daily life far far behind…( *sigh*)…if only!
Lake Nakuru has flocks of our feathered friends visiting every year, putting forth a gorgeous spectacle indeed. A must visit in Kenya.
F – Flight…Fantasy…Flamingos!

“The threshold of a great journey” – I like this phrase a lot. It would be great if we all could fly, couldn’t we? Then we could fly wherever in the world we like 🙂
Ya we’d get to see new places and no hassles with passports et all 🙂
wow – what a shot. what nice timing – I can see why this picture inspires – and makes one think of flight!!! and also so cool to se all the other birds just chilling in the back – truly a great photo—– 🙂
Thanks Y! As for timing I did drive my hubby crazy trying to capture the ‘perfect’ shot of the birds in flight 🙂
